| Think
seriously before breeding. It is not a quick money - making
enterprise. To breed properly you need to consider health tests
in order to reduce the risk of pups being born with painful hereditary
diseases,
feed, worming, microchipping and vaccinations. If a bitch has
difficulty whelping, it can lead to expensive vet bills. In
todays economic climate you could lose money if you are unable to sell
any of the pups or only sell a few. It is evident that many
breeders are struggling to sell their litters and can no longer afford
to feed them resulting in the pups being handed over to rescue
organisations who are already feeling the fallout from the credit
crunch as fundraising becomes more and more difficult. |
