On Wednesday 10 December 2008 a reporter for the Uxbridge Gazette wrote:

'The efforts of amazing police dogs were recognized when their handlers received commendations for their personal courage.  Sergeant David Campbell and PC Julia Fletcher who are part of the dog unit, received the awards along with German Shepherd Dogs Finn and Luke, for the successful arrest of an armed suspect.  Thanks to the help of their dogs they were able to tackle the individual whose behaviour led to them being alerted and the suspect now awaits trial.'
