On Friday 19th December 2008 a Watford Observer reporter wrote:
The RSPCA is
urging shoppers to be on the look out for callous youths selling four
week old puppies from plastic bags in Watford town center. The
group seen on Monday, are believed to be selling the puppies to earn
extra cash during the festive period. The defenceless dogs,
believed to be Staffordshire Bull Terriers, are only a matter of weeks
old and are unlikely to survive.

information should contact the police on 0845 3300222 or call the RSPCA
immediately.
