MAKING A MURPHY SLING

(Inspired by Eddies Wheels)

Materials Required:
·    Approx 4 feet of 1 inch diameter rubber hose
·    Adhesive suitable for bonding rubber
·    Duct Tape
·    Approx 5 feet of rope / weight bearing tape


 
Step1:

Figure out how long the two pieces of rubber hose need to be.  The length of these will be determined by the size of your dog.  If you have an Eddies Wheels, you have the perfect template to determine the correct length.


Step 2:

Cut the correct length of rubber hose.  Add a couple of inches to each length to allow for a join, and slice a couple of inches of one end as shown below.  Glue the joint, and wrap with Duct Tape for strength.



Step 3:

Using a sharp knife, cut a  2 – 3 inch oval piece of rubber from one of the loops you’ve made:

Bring the two loops together and glue them as below:

Add Duct Tape:


Step 6:
 Add weight-bearing rope / tape
    Add your dog
