Chloe
Chloe comes to us on a regular basis. She has become a valued member
of our pack over the years. Her enthusiasm for coming here drags her
owner down the garden path to the front door at a rate of knotts. At
home Chloe is not allowed on the furniture or certain parts of the house
whereas here she knows she has total freedom and takes full advantage. Chloe
is a very affectionate dog and would sit and be fussed all day. Her
life at home is a lonely existance whereas here she has loads of canine
playmates and the freedom to go in and out of the garden at her lesiure.
With her being an older girly she has her own thoughts on how the
others should behave and lets them know but this is never in an aggressive
way just rather noisy!! Age is catching up with her and it is nice
to be able to be part of making her twilight years as happy as she could
wish for. Chloe has always taken a shine to Bongo adding one more
female to his little harem. She is a rascal when there is water near
by as she makes a beeline for it. She cannot resist a quick dip when
no-one is looking and is very reluctant to come back to dry land. On accassion
it has been known for me to have to jump in the river to persuade her to
get out. Her antics do cause concern when she does outwit us and get
to the water as she has a skin condition that is irritated when she is wet
and she ends up plucking her fur out. It is a shame that we are forced
to try and prevent her going into the water as she so obviously enjoys it.
