Tess
Dec 2007
Tess is a
new edition to our household. She has been with us a week now and
we don't know how long she will be staying as her owner is in hospital
having his
hip replacement done.
Tess is a lovely dog and
although she was a touch overwhelmed with the amount of dogs to meet
she has coped very well indeed.
She has fitted in very well and
was
very quick on learning how to walk on the lead with seven other dogs.
The first walk with
them
all was interesting as I was unprepared for the strength of this girly
and
underestimated her ability to pull on the lead. A Halti
head
collar sorted her out and she behaves perfectly now.
She has gone off her food but this is nothing unusual from a new
dog coming in to an established pack, she is still very active and full
of fun so we won't worry. I am sure she will begin to eat in a
matter
of days.
feb 2008
Tess went home after ten days with us and was pleased to see her owner.
She still comes to our house every day as I am picking her up and
taking her for a walk because her owner is still unable to do the
exercise. It looks as if it is going to be a long rehabilitation
time for her owner as he has been told to not do any thing that might
jepodise his new hip in any way.
Sept 2008
Unfortunately Tess's owner has had to go back into hospital and is
seriously ill. It was decided between the family to give her up
for adoption as there was no way of knowing if or when her owner would
be able to continue with her care. She is now a fully fledged
member of our ever increasing canine pack and is enjoying having
the other dogs for company.
