Bayer Animal Health has launched a "Be Lungworm Aware" campaign to help raise awareness of the parasite among dog owners. Dogs become infected with the lungworm through eating slugs and snails which carry the larvae of the parasite. The initiative aims to make a wide variety of advice available, including how to identify infection and how to obtain treatment. It will also promote the benefits of parasite control programmes.
