Pet Owners in a Flap

Pet owners with dog or cat
flaps are asked to be on their guard after recent break-ins at homes in the
Watford area.
Police are issuing the following
advice for residents with dog or cat flaps.
1. Put keys out of sight away from the front door or windows
2. Always lock doors and windows even if you go out for a short time
or if you spend time upstairs
3. Make sure you have a strong garden gate and lock it
4. Keep garden fences in good repair and consider putting trellis
on the top
5. Install security lights outside
