CONSTITUTION.
To offer free legal advice and
assistance on all matters relating to canine welfare to persons in need.
To encourage the formation of groups throughout the UK working towards
education on responsible dog-ownership.

Set out above is the charter on which this charity works.
We receive hundreds of calls from dog owners in need each year and in 99%
of these we are able to provide the help and assistance being requested.
Some of the problems are quite simple ~ what breed of dog to purchase;
where to find a responsible and caring breeder; a problem with bad behavior
or even a dietary problem.
Our team of professional Consultants is growing slowly but surely and where
we have to consult them we are met with friendly and positive assistance
and are indebted to them for their compassion and concern. They are the life
blood of this charity. In most cases their advice is given without charge
but when a bill is received it is usually well below what we would have expected.
Unfortunately, the majority of calls for help are of a legal nature and
we can not meet the costs of legal fees. We begin by trying to mediate and
if this fails, locate a solicitor in the relevant area and pledge our assistance
with Counsel's Opinion.
It is becoming more and more difficult to obtain legal aid and in cases
where the caller can not meet legal fees, we will help them through
the legal process so that they can represent themselves.
All of this costs a great deal of money so that postage, telephone calls
and stationery are provided.
WE ARE UNIQUE.
Please do consider those less fortunate than yourself. We are all dog owners
and should be pulling together in the present climate where to own a dog
is seen more and more to be unacceptable to those who do not like dogs. Their
hatred is becoming an obcession and we can only 'fight our corner' by becoming
united.
